Once more Via Ocean trusts on MARCO technology to equip one of its purse seiners. The French ship owner has now requested MARCO to supply a new W-0332 brailing winch, which will be installed on Via Avenir purse seiner. MARCO´s W-0332 winch stands out for its robustness and maximum reliability and will improve operators’ safety as well as brailing manoeuvre’s efficiency.
With a 4 Tn pull capacity, the W-0332 brailing winch is driven by a Vickers vane motor. Although, equipment´s main purpose is to assist operators during the brailing manoeuvre, the auxiliary winch can also be used in different pulling manoeuvres allowing to improve operators´ safety.
The Via Avenir is one of the last three tuna vessels built in Campbell shipyard in San Diego (USA). With a 13.68 meters beam and a vessel length of 78.3 meters, the vessel´s fish hold capacity is bigger than 1600 m3.
