MARCO will supply another deck equipment to Via Ocean

Once more Via Ocean trusts on MARCO technology to equip one of its purse seiners. The French ship owner has now requested MARCO to supply a new W-0332 brailing winch, which will be installed on Via Avenir purse seiner. MARCO´s W-0332 winch stands out for its robustness and maximum reliability and will improve operators’ safety as well as brailing manoeuvre’s efficiency.

With a 4 Tn pull capacity, the W-0332 brailing winch is driven by a Vickers vane motor. Although, equipment´s main purpose is to assist operators during the brailing manoeuvre, the auxiliary winch can also be used in different pulling manoeuvres allowing to improve operators´ safety.

The Via Avenir is one of the last three tuna vessels built in Campbell shipyard in San Diego (USA). With a 13.68 meters beam and a vessel length of 78.3 meters, the vessel´s fish hold capacity is bigger than 1600 m³.
