MARCO will supply Theresa Janene´s new hydraulic system

MARCO will supply the complete hydraulic system for the Theresa Janene. The tuna vessel, which suffer a fire in 2013, is now being repair in Ensenada (Mexico) and MARCO will be in charge of supplying all the deck equipment, as well as vessel´s hydraulic system. The company already supplied a few months ago a MARCO WS-484 purse winch.

As a first step, the company will renew the vessel's hydraulic system, supplying the hydraulic power units, as well as system´s hydraulic valves and accessories.

Once that work has been completed MARCO will supply the rest of the deck equipment, which includes one of the most common power blocks models in Mexico: The PB-56. This MARCO power block model has a stainless-steel drum and replaceable cleats that seek to maximize its durability, as well as facilitate its maintenance. The company will also supply a complete set of auxiliary winches, and a 3-meter control console, which will allow an efficient and safe deck equipment operation during the fishing maneuver.

The Theresa Janene was the 2nd tuna vessel, after the Jeannine, to feature the classic 223' design from JM Martinac American shipyards. This type of tuna vessel dominated the American purse seine fleet during the 1970s and 1980s. The vessel was built in 1974 and originally named as Theresa Janene, although for a time it was renamed Capt. Isidore Duarte. The purse seiner is 68.1 meters long with a 12.8 meters beam and a fish hold volume of 1275 m3.

This new contract consolidates MARCO as one of the most trusted technology suppliers of the fishing industry in Mexico and reinforces company´s market leadership in Latam, region where over the past years TH COMPANY has inaugurated different offices in Mexico, Ecuador and Peru to provide a closer and a better service to its customers.
