Albacora Group´s Galerna Lau vessel ready to catch tuna

Grupo Albacora´s new tuna vessel “Galerna Lau” net trial were successfully carry out in Canarias Islands (Spain) and the tuna vessel is ready to start catching tuna on the Atlantic Ocean.

The Galerna Lau tuna vessel, with a total length of 96,12 metres, has been considered the biggest vessel built for Grupo Albacora on the past years and is the third ultra-freezing vessel that Astilleros Armón has built for the Spanish ship-owner.

During its construction, Marco has been in charge of implementing vessel hydraulic system as well as complete set of deck and fishing equipment. To be highlighted the implementation of Marco´s Main Boom Topping winch new model W-1945KBT, which incorporates disk brakes to reinforce vessel crew safety.

With over 60 years of experience, Marco is the world in fishing equipment, deck machinery and hydraulic systems for the fishing and shipbuilding industries.
