MARCO supplies a new PB-56 Power Block to Frabelle Fishing Corp.

MARCO has supplied a new PB- 56 power block to Frabelle Fishing Corp, Philippines’ top shipowner. The new unit will replace Purple Beauty 888 tuna vessel´s existing power block, increasing the number of Philippine company´s vessels that operate with MARCO technology, which remarks company’s great confidence in MARCO.

The Powerblock PB-56, a highly demanded model in Pacific tuna vessels, has a stainless-steel drum and replaceable cleats that seek to maximize its durability, as well as facilitate equipment maintenance. Notably, the incorporation to the equipment of the exclusive MARCO “Power Grip”, which reduces the slippage of the net during turning.

Frabelle Fishing Corporation is one of the top fishing companies of South Asia and has one of the largest purse seine fleets in The Philippines. The Purple Beauty 888, originally known as Yih Yu 612 was built in 1986 at the Fong Kuo shipyard in Taiwan. The purse seiner is 56.63 meters long, with a fish hold capacity of 835 m³ and a 12.20 meters beam.
