Marco to install a deck crane on the Sant Yago Uno for tuna fishing

Marco will install an HDC9-3000AA articulated deck crane on the Sant Yago Uno. The vessel, built in 1991, is owned by Jealsa-Rianxeira, one of TH COMPANY's regular customers.

The new crane will have a reach of 9 metres and a lifting capacity of up to 3000 kg. It will extend the ship's operational capacity, ensuring safe and precise on-board hoisting as well as improving cargo handling operations in port. The crane is articulated and operates autonomously, with its own hydraulic system.

It can rotate 360º in either direction and can be operated remotely. To maximise operator safety it has negative disc brakes and a dynamic load control valve.

Jealsa has facilities in Boiro and Guatemala. Its ships operate in the Atlantic, fishing mainly for skipjack tuna (Katsuwonus pelamis), bigeye tuna (Thunnus obesus) and yellowfin tuna (Thunnus albacares).

Sant Yago is the name of the Jealsa Group's tuna fleet. Two years ago, Marco installed an identical crane on the Sant Yago Tres, which has been operating very successfully.
