Marco will deliver two highly compact models of main winch

Marco is to supply WS-425 and WS-415 winches to Ecuadorian ship owner Nirsa. The new deck-mounted units will replace the vessel's existing main winches and will be smaller and more compact, improving operating capacity and making them easier to operate. They are also driven by two-speed radial piston motors, offering greater versatility in manoeuvres.

Nirsa is Ecuador's largest ship owner and operates a tuna and sardine fleet. It also has its own tuna processing plant. The company boasts thirteen tuna vessels, six sardine vessels and eight smaller boats. Nirsa manufactures Alimentos Real, a well-known brand of frozen food, tinned products, beverages and other products which has graced Ecuadorian tables and international markets for over 60 years.

The new designs exemplify Marco's continuous commitment to innovation.
