MARCO technology will be implemented on the new sardine vessel that “Servicios Navales de Mazatlán” shipyard, commonly known as SENAV, is building at its Mexican facilities. With an 8.69 meters beam and a vessel length of 32.31 meters, the new vessel´s fish hold capacity will reach up to 260 m3.
Specifically, MARCO will be in charge of designing and developing the vessel´s hydraulic system, as well as the implementation of all the deck equipment and fishing machinery needed to assure an efficient fishing manoeuvre. The installation of deck equipment like MARCO´s WS-266 main winch or PB-42 PowerBlock will allow a fast pursing in all sea conditions.
This new contract continues to increase MARCO´s market leadership in Latin America, region where over the last years TH COMPANY has inaugurated different offices in Mexico, Ecuador, and Peru to provide a closer and a better service to its customers.
TH COMPANY´s “Tomorrow´s Shrimp Trawler” project will be funded by the Basque Government´s Hazitek business R&D support programme, co-financed by the European Regional Development Funds.
