MARCO will supply the Skiff Rope Winch for the Sea Breeze tuna vessel.

MARCO will supply a new winch for handling the panga cable (Skiff Rope Winch) for the Sea Breeze tuna vessel. The tuna vessel flies the Senegalese flag and belongs to the Grand Bleu shipowner.

The winch to be supplied is a MARCO WR-747 model and features a direct motor, disengagable drum, band brake, and automatic stacker. The installation of this winch will allow adjusting the position of the panga in relation to the tuna vessel during the net retrieval maneuver, preventing the net from being affected by currents and entangled with the ship.

The Sea Breeze tuna vessel was recently acquired by Grand Bleu from Grupo Calvo. The original name of the vessel was Almadraba Dos, being the 115th construction of Marítima de Axpe, built in 1977. In 2014, it was acquired by Grupo Calvo, which renamed it Montemaior. The vessel has a length of 76.75 meters, a beam of 13.5 meters, and tanks with a capacity of 1580 m³.
