TH COMPANY office in Vigo has been selected to provide repair and maintenance services to Vía Mistral and Playa de Bakio tuna vessels. Both projects are being led by our specialised technician’s team at Nodosa Shipyards in the port of Marín (Spain).
Both projects´ scope includes:
- Vessel´s fishing equipment and deck machinery maintenance services: Purse Winch, Power Block,
Auxiliary Winches´ Set, Anchor Windlass, Deck Cranes, Purse Davit…
- Vessel´s Hydraulic system maintenance services: Hydraulic Power Units, Hydraulic Pump Drives...
- Repair and replacement of tuna seiner´s piping.
Via Mistral purse seine vessel belongs to Via Ocean shipowner, part of Bolton Group. The vessel is one of the last three purse seiners built in Campbell shipyard in San Diego (USA). With a 13.68 meters beam and a vessel length of 78.3 meters, the vessel´s fish hold capacity is bigger than 1600 m3.
Playa de Bakio purse seine vessel belongs to Pevasa shipowner, based in Bermeo (Spain), and was built in Balenciaga Shipyards in 1991. With a 13.6 meters beam and a vessel length of 75.6 meters, the vessel´s fish hold capacity is bigger than 1850 m3.
Thanks to this refit projects, Vía Mistral and Playa de Bakio tuna vessels´ deck equipment and hydraulic systems will continue to offer their maximum performance.
