+34 94 674 50 00Once more the French ship owner Via Ocean trusts on MARCO technology to equip one of its purse seiners. After the successful installation of MARCO´s PB-81 Power Block, commonly known as Mega Block, the company a new WP-218-2V choker winch on Via Mistral tune vessel.
With an 18 Tn pull capacity, the WP-212-2V choker winch is currently known as MARCO´s biggest auxiliary winch model. The equipment capacity relies in 2 engines and an on a double speed system. This auxiliary winch will replace Via Mistral´s existing Gearmatic Choker to help to improve fishing manoeuvre efficiency, as well as reinforce crew safety.
The Via Mistral tuna vessel is one of the last three tuna vessels built in Campbell shipyard in San Diego (USA). With a 13.68 meters beam and a vessel length of 78.3 meters, the vessel´s fish hold capacity is bigger than 1600 m3.
