Purse davit for JIH YU No. 568 reaches Taiwan

The Marco POWERDAVIT SK-230 purse davit ordered by Taiwan's Jih Yu Fishery Co Ltd. has been delivered. It is to be fitted on the company's vessel JIH YU No. 568. This is hull J383, built at the Jong Shyn shipyard in Kaohsiung.

This davit, which is new to the Taiwanese market, makes for increased safety because the cable is guided at both ends and in the middle. Unlike other davits, it extends the useful lifetime of all components, causes less cable wear and is more ergonomic for ring operators given that there is more distance between pulley blocks.

This is the latest in a number of recent deliveries to the Asian market, where Marco continues to expand with supplies of new equipment for fishing vessels.
